Coy and Vino’s backyard in Gordon already had plenty of character: established trees, a stone retaining wall and a collection of potted plants. But the pebbled area between the garden and the house was letting the space down. Mud, lingering moisture and a stubborn old tree stump made it harder to use than it should have been.

A damp patch in an otherwise loved garden

With limited sunlight reaching this part of the yard, the ground was slow to dry. The existing pebbles sat over muddy patches, and water collected around the old stump. Instead of an inviting part of the backyard, it had become an awkward area to work around.

Coy and Vino wanted a more practical surface that would sit comfortably alongside their established garden. The aim was to change how this part of the yard felt and functioned while keeping the features that gave it its character.

A little extra help at the check measure

Before the lawn installation, there was one problem Coy and Vino had been struggling to shift: a dead tree stump.

During the check measure, Dane personally removed it as a favour. It was a practical bit of help that took a frustrating job off their hands and cleared an obstacle from the space being transformed.

Oasis Blend, fitted around the garden

We installed Oasis Blend artificial lawn across the former pebbled and muddy section. The finished lawn follows the existing paving and stone garden wall, with neat edges around the square tree surrounds.

Those details make the transformation feel part of the garden. The trees and potted plants remain the focus, while the new green surface brings the space together. The before-and-after photos show the difference from almost the same viewpoint: a broken-up pebbled patch becomes a much more welcoming part of the yard.

A backyard that feels usable again

For Coy and Vino, the result was a complete change in how this part of their backyard could be used. The awkward pebbled section became an inviting lawn area, with the established planting still at its heart.

It is a simple example of how changing one problem area can transform the feel of a whole garden. Sometimes the best starting point is the patch you find yourself avoiding.

Coy and Vino gave All Seasons Living a five-star Google review following the project. Thank you both for trusting us with your garden.
